#DN13, unlucky for some. Lucky for us!

I was gutted to miss some of the big trackdays this August and September, (although I could hardly turn down invitations to race at both the Zolder and Barcelona 24h events).

Luckily for me, my schedule allowed me almost unfettered access to possibly the biggest and best trackday of the year.

Amazing cars, largely fast and respectful driving and only a couple of big accidents. All under a GLORIOUS deep-blue sky that made August look winter.

What follows is simply a gallery of photos by frozenspeed and myself.

The new GT3.RS has, as expected, now become an ubiquitous car at any Nordschleife event. As has the GT4…

Other Porsches included the miraculously-recovered 964RS, fresh from its holiday at Belgium cannabis farm (I’m not even joking), and that gorgeous 993 GT2 that defies market values and car collectors by lapping the ‘Ring most years. And can you spot the odd one out below?

Other notable oddities included a STW-replica E36:

A van, with some fairly inflammatory stickers! Do you think he’s a fan of my VW Transport van lap record?!

And some very cool throwbacks from the previous century! 😉

Of course, lightweight can be offset by BIG power too…
