That oddly metallic amber (Burnt Sunset, alledgedly) Corvette ZR1 is back testing at the 'ring. Whoever's driving, they're certainly not looking for laptimes* as they're above the 8minute mark consistantly. So Renault Sport hired the Nürburgring last Monday (which is why so many of you were left in the car park with the track not opening until 1615 instead of 1300). They used the track for a number of different things. We could see there were taxi rides going on, some laps in the Megane performance diesel car. And then there was this:
You've got to love this video. Submitted anonymously by a customer who rented RSR's Caterham sometime before the video ban in 2004(ahem), it shows that the tiny Caterham, even with its little Rover motor, can really punch above its weight when fighting it out on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
