The latest Radical SR8 LM has shattered the lap record for road-legal sportscars, with a mind-blowing 6m48s full lap. The car, driven on the roads all the way from Radical's Peterborough factory, was raised 20mm on its suspension in order to get on and off the ferry. Michael Vergers was the pilot, again, knocking 8 seconds off his previous best.
Here's a great example of how the Nürburgring's undulations and altitude changes can catch you out. Remember; you don't just need to learn the lefts from the rights, but also the ups from the downs...
The mistake was trying to brake while the car was still almost-jumping. The best brake pads in the world don't mean shizzle if the wheel's aren't on the floor!
Regular visitors will recognise 'Iceman' as the geezer with the custom-chrome Iceman badging on his Porsche GT3 in the OEM Porsche letters. And an Iceman custm-painted helmet. And an Iceman custom-embroidered suit.
Onboard video of the new BMW S1000RR around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The rider is obviously not 100% familiar with the track, but it looks like an incredibly fast and easy bike to ride.
