This week's industry test session has been largely deserted, despite the fantastic weather. But one fast car that's been lapping is the new Ford Focus. Rumours abound that Ford are hoping to announce a new front-wheel-drive lap record by this April.
All very well, but we didn't see any lap record attempts this week and there's only one more industry test session scheduled (beginning on the 31st of March) before the self-imposed April deadline. If Ford do hire the track to attempt this, we'll let you know! Don't forget that to claim this crown of 'front-wheel-drive' Nürburgring king, the Focus RS will have to beat the amazing Megane R26.R - a car almost 250kg lighter and shod with Toyo R888s as standard... good luck Henry.
