The BMW Ring Taxi has been a feature of the Nurburgring's touristenfahrten sessions for well over a decade now. And to see the white BMW roll out with a full load of customers was a real happy moment. It's as if all the drama has been forgotten, and the 'ring's in business as normal... more details and photos here.

Touristenfahrten was closed for nearly two hours today as a somewhat amazing claim of nearly 15,000 motorcycles convoyed out onto the Nordschleife. Helped by the fantastic weather, the turnout was absolutely immense. Gathering at the GP circuit from 11am, the convoy was finally released on to the Nordschleife before 3pm and cleared the track by about 4.30pm. More photos on the 'read more' link.

I'm a nosey bugger sometimes, but you've got to admit that new cars are always exciting. And unless I'm greatly mistaken, these are new Ring Taxis undergoing preparation at the BMW M centre in Nürburg.

Four white BMW E90 M3s, lurking behind roller doors. I know for a fact they're on a job a week next Sunday too. Official BMW motorsport link after the 'read more' jump...

Brand new in January, now it has over 20,000km, a lot of bugs and even some stone chips. AWESOME.

I used to sit in my office after hours, watching his onboard bike videos from beginning to end, one after the other, desperate for my next visit!
