Do you enjoy BTG?

BTG is NOT a massive operation; it's just me, my camera and my computer. And a lot of help from my friends and family. Thanks!

Touristenfahrt

Tonight's closure was brought to you by...

Details

rolled2

Tonight's needless closure of the Nordschleife tourist sessions was brought to you by the letters, V, W and SUV. Let's see the check list:

  • Racing suit - CHECK
  • Video camera - CHECK
  • Completely unsuitable vehicle to do a fast lap in - CHECK
  • Over-confidence in the final turn, followed by a huge roll-over smash... - CHECK

Note, nobody was hurt in this crash. Only one man's pride. And a big wobbly VW SUV thing. Below is how he might have looked less than a minute before. Can't wait to see that video...

>>UPDATE:

BS on the plate indicates the vehicle was registered in Braunschweig. Home to one of the oldest VW manufacturing plants. Wiki link. The flameproof suit suggests a refugee from the rain-soaked industry pool taking his testing to the dryer public session. If that's the case, this is more than just a little embarrassing for everybody involved...

Makes sense. Pointless poser vehicle goes well with a pointless poser firesuit.

Nice SUV....of course before his bounce around. I wonder why do people push vehicles like this to the limit when they are not designed to?

Unbelievable that the industry pool takes the allready little TF tracktime away from us with such stupid actions! They can drive all day during the week and still have to drive during public sessions. And apparantly, the idustry can´t afford decent testdrivers anymore since these kind of accidents happened quite often lately...

Hmmm... I think it would have been decent to hide the number plate.

Pierre, can't see any need to blank out the number plate as I'm sure his employer will already know of the accident :P
