Do you enjoy BTG?

BTG is NOT a massive operation; it's just me, my camera and my computer. And a lot of help from my friends and family. Thanks!

Touristenfahrt

A 'slow' lap of the Nordschleife, only 7m39s BTG

Details

A mysterious memory card landed on my desk the other day. Delivered by a mysterious pigeon wearing a mysterious mask, so I couldn't even identify the afore-mentioned avian. Mysterious indeed.

Less mysterious was the contents - a video vbox file using the BTG overlay designed by myself and purporting to show a 'slow' lap of the 'ring onboard a 1000cc superbike. At a guess, I'd say a Yamaha YZF-R1. Enjoy the constant stream of data from the Racelogic Video Vbox coupled to a very expert lap of the 'Ring. A 'properly' quick lap will be uploaded soon knocking close to 20-seconds off this steady lap...

Check out more videos on the BTG YouTube Channel.

Stunning accelerations! 8)
But the speed in the turns is surprisingly 'low'. I have no ideas about bikes, but this clearly shows the importance of rubber surface in contact with the ground in comparison with cars...

It's all about the acceleration with a bike. 1g of braking, that's good. But 1g of accel forwards - that's F1 car.
