At first glance it looks like an XKR cabriolet, but looks can be decieving. The first clue to this car real's purpose is not the short wheelbase or wider rear axle, but rather the engine note. All high and smooth, with only a slight warble. This is a Jaguar that's NOT a V8. It is in fact, I would surmise, the latest C-X16 prototype. The C-X was shown last at the Frankfurt autoshow, were large hints were dropped about a naturally aspirated six-cylinder entry model, and even a push-to-pass hybrid system.

Compare the shots above to the Pistonheads article here and you can see why I'm so sure it's the C-X16! Love the ducktail spoiler on the prototype though...
