Today the Nürburgring Nordschleife is booked exclusively to Nissan, and dealers from all over Germany and Europe are present to experience the new 2013 GTR as well as see the 2014 GTR development program. Many of the dealers are also under the impression that Toshio-san might be about to set a new laptime.

Certainly the photo above shows us a familiar face in a silver Arai... and a closer look reveals a little more about this temporary-plated GTR...

Not only is it the man behind some of the most mental Nordschleife laps ever witnessed, but the rear of the car is stripped and it's loaded with cameras. And check out the wheels and brakes... forged rays wheels and ceramic brakes say 'Black Edition'.

Unfortunately the conditions this sunny morning are quite damp and cold. I expect there to be wet patches most of the day, especially with only 4 to 6 different cars driving the 21km circuit. They'll need more traffic than that to create a dry line... despite that, who'd bet against Nissan, Mizuno and their desire for a sub-7m20s laptime?

Do the latter 2 and I'll have one, until then I'm still saving for my 911...
