Do you enjoy BTG?

BTG is NOT a massive operation; it's just me, my camera and my computer. And a lot of help from my friends and family. Thanks!

I know we've got a few people here who have to travel a long way to get their 'ring fix'... so tell me, how many miles do you fly or drive to get here? How long is that?

It's just under 500 miles for me, travelling from Norwich, Norfolk. Takes about 7.5 hours to get there, and about 8 hours on the way back as get stuck in the roadworks in Belgium...!

Every time I go around Brussells I get hopelessly stuck in traffic. The only time it's clear seems to be before 6am and after 10pm!

You can always try the 'south at Dunkirk, then E42 all the way to Liege' trick - 14 miles longer on paper but *generally* a better run.

I'll have to try that the next time round. I'm planning a trip later this year (despite having only gotten back a fortnight ago ) - but not sure when the latest you can generally go (weather conditions etc) is! Last year I went September time which was OK.

I'm sure I'm in the right place to ask though :btg:

I have to drive 596 miles from the north east of England plus whatever the ferry crossing. Two Mondays ago it took me 14 hours to get home.

Thangs can change quickly - the first snow can come anywhere between the second week of October and the first week of Christmas. In the years when the winter starts mild you get some AWESOME lapping days, especially if you don't mind the wet.

Remember at the end and start of the season most days are just TF from 9 'til 5! B)

Interesting - thanks for that! If I can afford it and get the time off I was considering late August or early Sept again. :)

That will be fine, we're even setting up a trackday for the full day September 27th. The weather's normally good* all the way through to October at the very least.

*i.e. completely random, but we all hope for sunshine

Definitely more reliable ime.

About 430 miles to Nurburg for me, but we usually stay in Cochem and go straight there first to unload.
